Please join the Chapel Hill Prison Books Collective at a delicious Indian eat in/take out dinner hosted by renowned Chapel Hill cook Vimala Rajendran! Dinner will begin at 5:30 PM. The location: 105 Lexington Drive in Chapel Hill (Vimala's home) in Heritage Hill, off Smith Level Road. Join us for the first of a monthly series of Political Prisoner Letter Writing night events, along with a screening of the radical cult classic film, "Born in Flames"! From 7:30 to 8:30, folks will gather to write letters and send birthday cards to some of the political prisoners locked up in the US whose birthdays take place in February, including Byron Shane Chubbuck, Albert Woodfox, and Veronza Bowers, Jr. There will also be letters on hand from LGBT prisoners seeking penpals and support.
